To be clear Reis has been jailed for a heated argument about the delayed and inefficient manner the Grenfell Tower was Covered.
No one was physically harmed in verbal altercation with the ‘local authority’
Given Reis, his friends, his family’s and communities loss during the tragic events on 14/6/2017 and having to endure looking at the tower from his own home daily it is understandable any he was so upset.
Reis dedication to solidarity & unity in the community makes this sentence wholly unacceptable.
We need 10,000 signatures to get this petition before the Ministry of Justice.
Reis Morris is North Kensington, born and bred. Even before the events of two years ago, he was well respected and known in the area. The fire at Grenfell forged a spirit in Reis. He has made a huge contribution to so many aspects of the struggle for justice. His profound engagement with local politics and campaigns, matched with his unique insights, assist us all. His support is in so many aspects, we can't even do justice to him.
He stood up for us all. He acted on others' emotions, feeling somebody had to - and that person was him. He is now in prison and will be for two year commemorations. It lies heavy in our hearts. We are already dealing with enough and now one of our champions has been put inside. We know he acted way beyond the self and we now share the burden of his work and efforts. We need him free. The state see him as a threat, we know his importance in maintaining our peace and security.
